Demon Slayer season 3
We already know a little bit about the upcoming third season of Demon Slayer, which has been given the working title of the Swordsmith Village Arc.The first clip previews some of the dreadful bad guys who are about to square up against Tanjiro. We also go a little deeper and speculate on Demon Slayer season 3’s release date as well as which manga chapters it could adapt. There’s also a look at the cast list and how the Entertainment District sets up the show’s next arc. It’s all here in our guide to Demon Slayer season 3
Demon Slayer season 3 Release Date
There has been no official announcement, but we may anticipate the release of Demon Slayer season 3 over the next 12 months, possibly in mid- to late 2023. In the COVID age, getting something done that quickly feels implausible, and there have been no new pronouncements to suggest otherwise. We had anticipated Fall 2022 would be a serious possibility. If so, a release in the winter or spring of 2023 (from January to April 2023), or in the fall of 2023 (from September to October 2023), may all be planned, especially because a fall announcement ought to have happened by this point.
Having said that, Ufotable consistently produces high-quality work. Fall 2019 saw the release of Demon Slayer, while Fall 2020 saw Mugen Train make its way into Japan. In the fall of 2021, television’s Mugen Train recap storyline for Demon Slayer premiered. Demon Slayer’s trend of constant Fall premieres ought to end, but if anybody is capable of doing the unthinkable
Demon Slayer season 3 story
Officially, the Swordsmith Village Arc is the third season of Demon Slayer. We won’t discuss the source material here, but be assured that it will likely span chapters 100 to 127 of the manga. Given that the Entertainment District Arc covered a comparable age range of 70 to 99, this season will probably consist of 12 episodes, give or take a few.
It should entail Tanjiro going to Swordsmith Village to obtain a new sword, barring any significant changes. As fate would have it, there is an old weapon in the village. It’s not all that simple, though, because the narrative also involves the Love and Mist Hashiras and perhaps one or two Upper Rank demons.
In a larger sense, the Entertainment District finale also hinted at the likely direction the series will follow after Demon Slayer season 3. Tengen isn’t on the board anymore, yet he’s still very much alive. He informed Iguro that Tanjiro should most likely take over for Hashira. From there, the Demon Slayers may finally strike back at their ultimate target: Muzan Kibutsuji.
Demon Slayer season 3 Cast
The characters from the Swordsmith Village arc will include Tanjiro (Natsuki Hanae), Zenitsu (Hiro Shimono), Inosuke (Yoshitsugu Matsuoka), and Nezuko (Akari Kitou). Two characters from the series, the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and the Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanoji, are joining them. Future seasons should also see additional members of the Hashiras and the Twelve Upper Moons/Twelve Kibuki. A recent official sketch of the antagonist One Upper Moon, Doma, who is anticipated to make an appearance in Demon Slayer season 3, has been made public.
Where to stream Demon Slayer
Crunchyroll now offers access to Demon Slayer. Given the recent merger with Funimation and the precedent set by Demon Slayer season 2, we anticipate that season 3 will also be available for streaming there. In certain regions, the first season of Netflix is currently available for streaming.
